Our Kitchen

One of my favorite blogs {Love Stiched} recently asked for people to submit photos of their kitchen. So here it is... the Buke Lodge kitchen in all her glory...

Okay, so we have been living in this house for not quite 2 months now, so none of the awesome-ness of this kitchen is because of us... Nope! The previous owners did a fantasic job setting up a stellar kitchen for us. Some of our favorite things include:

1. Recessed lighting - and lots of it!

2. Tiled Floors and Backsplash

3. HUGE island

4. Crown Molding around the cabinets

5. Cabinet Upgrades - Like slide out shelves, lazy susan and a slots for pans (above the fridge)

6. More storage than we could possible use

7. Bay Window over the sink

Some of the things we are going to have to change - who knows when though:

1. Paint Color - currently "Poker Face" by Behr... its an odd purple color

2. Outdated appliances - except the fridge we just bought

3. The Cabinet Pulls... just not our fave

4. Replace the countertops - they're in good condition, but laminate

And another reason why we loved this house - look how TINY my kitchen table is in our new attached dining space! That table has room for 6 people ~ which means we can easily upgrade in the future to a table worthy of hosting a Thanksgiving Family dinner - one of my personal goals!
